The Joy Fantastique is a (wait for it) concept album of sorts, one that traces the arc of a relationship through infatuation to conflict to late-night reconciliations to every complicated emotion in between. While the songs themselves can stand alone as vignettes or "snapshots" of certain moments in a relationship, they can also be taken as part of five cycles:

I. The Beginning (Gabon, When I Fall)
II. The Build Up (The Joy Fantastqiue, Overflow)
III. The Breakdown (F&L, Push Pull, Ceasefire)
IV. The Rebuild (Wee Hours, When I Think of You)
V. The Resolution (Home)

Alright enough pontificating! Seriously it was a journey to create this album, and all conceptual musings aside, I hope you enjoy listening to it as much I loved making it.
